Seasonal fruit and vegetables
Subject to seasonal conditions and yield, our orchard consists of apples, pears, peaches, nectarines and plums as well as other fruits on a smaller scale. Vegetables include pumpkins, zucchini, carrots and onions.
All fruit trees are sprayed annually with a Bordeau mixture which is an allowable preparation for organic gardeners.
Our fruit trees and vegetable gardens are fertilised by compost made from animal manures, spent bedding from the pigs’ hutches, fowl manure, sawdust, mulched herbs and grasses.
